Emergency automatic rescue device lift ard elevator
No. 1 lift backup in India!
Elevista ARD For Lift (Automatic Rescue Device)
Elevista’s ARD, also known as ERD, ensures safe evacuation of passengers during power failures. In the event of a power failure, the device automatically activates, allowing the elevator to move to the nearest floor and open its doors, enabling passengers to safely exit the lift. It has a Door Zone signal input, making sure the lift always stops near the floor before shutting down. Designed to handle common power outages and the specific needs of different lift types and settings, ARD is crucial. It comes in different models that are compatible with all types of lifts. Single phase ARD does not require any signals to be fed to it or to the lift panel. It shutdowns after the evacuation operation is completed to prevent further battery drain.
Lift Backup vs. ARD for Lift:
- ARD forLift: Runs the lift for a few minutes during a power failure to evacuate passengers, then shuts down until power supply from the grid resumes.
- Lift Backup: Provides extended operation for 2 to 8 hours during outages, allowing normal lift use just like with grid power.
- Mains Unstability Sense: Automatically shifts to ARD mode when the mains supply is unstable, ensuring no one gets trapped inside the lift.
- Door Zone Indication: Blinks when the lift is at the door zone.
- Single Phase Preventer: Ensures only three-phase supply reaches the lift panel, preventing VFD damage.
- Phase loop detection and alarm: Detects any phase loop and issues alert about it.
- 5-Stage Battery Charger: Enhances battery life with intelligent five-stage charging.
- Automatic Bypass: The mains supply is automatically bypassed in case of failure of the system.
- Wall mount design: Takes less space in the machine room.
- Inbuilt battery: Easy installation even in case of the MRL lifts.
- Auto shutdown: Shuts down automatically after evacuation to prevent further drainage of the batteries.
- NO-COM-NC contacts: Contacts to communicate with the lift panel.
SOME Key Features of Elevista ARD for Lifts WITH LONG DESCRIPTION:
- Door Zone Signal: Ensures the lift cabin stops precisely near the floor level before shutting down, enhancing passenger safety and ease of evacuation.
- Universal Compatibility: Available in single phase, two phase, and three phase models, which are compatible with all types of lifts of all brands, making it suitable for both residential and commercial buildings.
- Custom Engineered for Motor Loads: Unlike typical UPS systems, the Elevista ARD is specifically designed to handle the high demands of motor loads.
- Energy Efficient: Automatically shuts down once the lift is safely evacuated and power is restored. Minimizes energy consumption and operational costs during standby.
Additional Add-ons:
- Twin Tower Solution: Manages two lifts on the same ARD with automatic changeover.
- GSM Based Alerts: Sends SMS alerts for status updates like mains/ARD mode, phase failure, single phasing, or battery status.
- Lithium Ion Battery Compatible: Can be equipped with a lithium-ion battery using factory-set settings.
Worry not! Elevista's innovative Rescue First Technology is here to the rescue. Even if the battery power dips low, our backup system smartly waits. It ensures you, our valued passenger, reach your floor, the doors open smoothly, and you step out safely before it shuts down. No abrupt stops, no getting trapped – just seamless, worry-free rides.

Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that you may have many doubts and questions about the type and specifications of the product. Our experts have tried to answer as many FAQs as possible. If you don't find your questions you can email your questions to us. Please let us know if you find the FAQ helpful.
-
What is an Automatic Rescue Device for lift?
-When the passengers get stuck inside an elevator during the grid power failure, the ARD system turns on the battery power and the lift is taken to the floor level and the doors are opened to evacuate the passengers.
-
How does an ARD work?
-When the mains power is present, the batteries are charged. When there is a power failure, ARD turns on automatically on battery mode and powers the lift to evacuate the passenger to the nearest floor level.
-
What is the cost of an ARD for an elevator or lift?
-The cost depends on many factors like Motor power rating, Panel type etc.
-
Where is the Automatic Rescue Device for Lift suitable?
-It is suitable in areas where power outages are less frequent and are of shorter duration. Otherwise we suggest going with the Lift battery backup system.
-
Is there any maintenance for ARD?
- No. There is no maintenance in ARD. Just once a quarter use a blower to remove dust particles.
-
Do the batteries require maintenance?
-No. The batteries are sealed maintenance-free and do not require maintenance.
