Elevista Lift Battery Backup
No. 1 lift backup in India!
Elevista Lift UPS | Inverter | Battery Backup – Elevating your elevator experience to new heights!
The lift battery backup system is designed to automatically start when it detects a power outage. It comprises high-capacity, durable batteries connected to the lift UPS system. Upon a power failure, the system seamlessly switches to battery power, allowing the elevator to continue functioning normally. This transition usually takes 20 seconds, preventing any disruption in the elevator's operation. Elevista has successfully developed a static model ensuring quick transfer to battery mode ensuring seamless jerk-free operation of the elevator.
The backup system typically provides enough power for several trips, enough to safely transport passengers to their destinations and to a designated floor. After the restoration of main power, the system reverts to normal operation, and the batteries are recharged, preparing them for the next outage.
When designing a lift backup solution, our team considers factors like typical power outage durations, elevator type (with or without VFD), motor capacity, building type (residential or commercial), number of floors and flats, elevator usage, and other backup needs such as staircase lights, CCTV, stack parking and fire fighting pump.
- Fastest Startup: Quick output rise eliminates the need to bypass SPP protection on your lift panel.
- Rescue First Technology: Ensures passengers are never trapped during low battery conditions.
- Mains Unstability Sense: Automatically shifts to backup mode when the mains supply is unstable, ensuring uninterrupted elevator operation.
- Single Phase Preventer: Ensures only three-phase supply reaches the lift panel, preventing VFD damage.
- Mains High-Low Cutoff: Ensures only suitable voltage level goes to the lift panel.
- Phase loop detection and alarm: Detects any phase loop and issues alert about it.
- 5-Stage Battery Charger: Enhances battery life with intelligent five-stage charging.
- Bypass Switch and MCB Protection: Enables easy bypassing of the backup system during maintenance, with additional MCB protection.
- Seven Segment Digital Display: Provides insights into various vital parameters and faults.
Additional Add-ons:
- Twin Tower Solution: Manages two lifts on the same backup with automatic changeover.
- Wireless Display: Indicates lift UPS or mains mode, battery percentage, and grid supply faults from the lift cabin.
- Single Phase Input: Customizable to operate on single-phase input while supplying three-phase output, suitable for locations without a three-phase supply.
- GSM Based Alerts: Sends SMS alerts for status updates like mains/ lift UPS mode, phase failure, single phasing, or battery status, ideal for township projects.
- Remote Accessibility: Monitor data from anywhere in the world using wifi.
- Solar Power Compatibility: Integrates with solar modules to operate the lift on solar energy, beneficial in areas with frequent or unstable grid power.
- Lithium Ion Battery Compatible: Can be equipped with a lithium-ion battery using factory-set settings.
Worry not! Elevista's innovative Rescue First Technology is here to the rescue. Even if the battery power dips low, our backup system smartly waits. It ensures you, our valued passenger, reach your floor, the doors open smoothly, and you step out safely before it shuts down. No abrupt stops, no getting trapped – just seamless, worry-free rides.

Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that you may have many doubts and questions about the type and specifications of the product. Our experts have tried to answer as many FAQs as possible. If you don't find your questions you can email your questions to us. Please let us know if you find the FAQ helpful.
-
What is a lift UPS battery backup?
A lift battery backup is a system that charges a battery bank using an inbuilt charger when the main power supply is available. In the event of a power failure, the backup system automatically powers the lift using the battery bank.
-
How does lift backup work?
When the mains is present the batteries connected to the lift backup are charged. When there is any fault in the input supply the lift is shifted on the backup mode automatically.

-
What is the cost of a lift battery backup for an elevator?
-The cost depends on many factors like Motor power rating, Panel type, Number of passengers, Duration of the backup required etc.
-
Where is the lift backup suitable?
-It is suitable in areas where power outages are more frequent and are of longer durations.
-
Is there any maintenance of Lift backup?
- No. There is no maintenance in lift backup. But we recommend using a blower to remove the dust particles every quarter.
-
Do the batteries require maintenance?
-Yes. The lead acid batteries require maintenance every quarter. However elevista lift backup is compatible with SMF as well as lithium ion batteries which do not require maintenance.
-
What is the rescue first technology in the lift backup - elevista?
When the lift operates on battery mode and the battery level becomes low, the UPS detects if there are passengers inside the lift. It will wait until the passengers safely exit the lift cabin before shutting down, ensuring passenger safety.
-
Why is the lift shut down for 20 seconds every time power interrupts?
A 20-second delay is provided to allow the capacitor of the Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) inside the lift control panel to discharge completely when there is a power interruption. This ensures safe operation. However we have developed a fast changeover model for absolute jerk-free operation of the lift.
-
If any phase of the input becomes absent, is the backup mode turned on?
Elevista lift backup has inbuilt single phase preventer (SPP). Whenever the input supply voltage of any of the three phases goes high or low or absent, the backup mode is turned on.
-
Is lift backup an online UPS or offline UPS?
A lift backup is an offline UPS in which inverter mode is turned on only when the mains is absent. On mains mode the input supply is bypassed as it is.
